On April 25, Funcom announced on their official website that they are hosting a dedicated weekend for Dune: Awakening's global beta test. Alongside this exciting news, they unveiled a captivating new trailer showcasing cinematic cutscenes and story snippets from the game.

The beta test promises to welcome a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, will not be under an NDA. This means players are free to share their experiences and even stream gameplay online. The official post states, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
