Dragon Quest X Offline is finally coming to mobile devices in Japan! This MMORPG-style entry in the beloved series will be available tomorrow on iOS and Android, offering a discounted offline experience for Japanese players.

Gematsu reports that this single-player version, initially released for consoles and PC in 2022, will be a premium purchase. Interestingly, plans to bring Dragon Quest X to mobile were initially discussed as far back as 2013 by Ubitu.

The game features real-time combat and other MMORPG elements, a departure from the typical Dragon Quest formula. While exciting news for Japanese fans, a global release for the mobile version remains unconfirmed. The original Dragon Quest X was a Japan-exclusive title, making international availability uncertain.

This is disappointing for international fans, especially those who enjoyed past titles like Sentinels of the Starry Sky. However, the possibility of experiencing even an alternative version of Dragon Quest X on mobile remains appealing.
