Author : Liam Update : May 02,2025

The highly anticipated fighting game, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, has seemingly been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, despite no official announcement regarding its release on the new console. Fans of Akira Toriyama's iconic anime and manga series have been eagerly awaiting news on this front, and a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, seems to have confirmed the game's arrival on the Switch 2. The tweet, which was taken down shortly after, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and mentioned that the game had secured a 12+ rating.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering an impressive roster of playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, transformations, and techniques. In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, describing it as "a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, with the console's price set at $449.99. As expected, the pre-orders were met with overwhelming demand. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to the high volume of orders.
