How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To embark on this feline adventure, you’ll need to journey to the Omi region, which typically becomes accessible around the midpoint of the game. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and adequately leveled up before heading northeast to Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast expanse of water central to the Omi region. It’s advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo for a smoother trip. Alternatively, you can swim to reach your goal.

Aim for the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of drying fish near the docks hints at the island's feline inhabitants.

To be surrounded by cats, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't miss the chance to pet them, especially the rare kittens, which you can add to your collection for use in the Hideout.

While Leaps of Faith usually unlock new map locations, the true treasure of Okishima is its cat population. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there isn't much else to do except revisit the cats. You'll return to Okishima later in Yasuke’s storyline, adding another layer of anticipation.
