Initially announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems the series will center around Dante, likely drawing inspiration from the events of the first three Devil May Cry games. However, any direct connections to the game's storylines are yet to be officially confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who is known for voicing Nero in the video game franchise.

The latest entry in the Devil May Cry game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the franchise after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Considered a top-tier action game, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our complete review of Devil May Cry 5 here.
