Nintendo's recent mobile expansion made it inevitable that former Switch exclusives would migrate to smartphones. Few could have predicted The New Denpa Men – that delightfully odd RPG – would be among them!

Gematsu's detailed reporting on Japanese releases confirms the game's March 10th launch on iOS and Android. The remake promises to retain the 3DS version's AR functionality, which originally used the handheld's camera features.

Series veterans may recall The Denpa Men as one of the 3DS's early AR RPGs, where players captured radio wave-dwelling creatures and battled through dungeons with them.

While not as iconic as Nintendo's flagship titles, The Denpa Men series has appeared across multiple platforms over the years. Developer Genius Sonority previously tested mobile waters with the original New Denpa Men before its Switch adaptation.

Ironically, we may soon get a mobile version of a Switch remaster of an older mobile game. The original New Denpa Men launched only in Japan, but its Switch port saw global release – perhaps this mobile version will too.
