Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 Will Carry Over Saves From 1 and 2
Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4: Console Testing Update and Save Transfer
Toby Fox, creator of Undertale and Deltarune, provided a recent update on the testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. Console testing is progressing smoothly, although much work remains. Fox specifically noted that PS5 testing hasn't begun yet.
A key development is the integration of save transfer functionality. Saves from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo will be transferable to the full console release of Chapters 3 and 4. This feature, recently implemented, is a significant addition. Fox expressed optimism about its successful integration. "I hope it works!" he stated.
With beta testing showing positive results, a release date may be imminent. Fox previously confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.
New Character Revealed: Tenna
Beyond the technical updates, Fox shared amusing anecdotes about a minigame he's developing. His family described it as "a cry for help," while a friend laughed for ten minutes straight. Speculation arose that this minigame might be for Chapter 5, given Fox's previous statement that Chapters 3 and 4 are content-complete.
More intriguingly, Fox mentioned a character named Tenna, stating a friend missed her. Tenna, previously unseen except during a Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022, is confirmed to appear in Chapter 3.
Deltarune, a successor to Undertale, continues the series' unique mechanics and humor. Players will follow Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
