June's trailer offered a glimpse into the game's Mad Max-inspired post-apocalyptic setting, featuring intense zombie gunfights and vehicular combat. The narrative unfolds years after the apocalypse, focusing on human settlements battling the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for PC and Xbox Series X|S release. The last entry in the series launched in 2018.
