The latest Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM trailer features romance and tropical setting

Koei Tecmo unveils a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off from their popular fighting game franchise. Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, a special Asian "global version" will include English text support.

This tropical island getaway features mini-games, character customization, and extensive relationship-building mechanics designed for immersive romantic storylines. Venus Vacation PRISM offers a unique departure for Dead or Alive fans, providing a distinct gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature style.

However, the franchise's popularity also presents a challenge. Koei Tecmo annually removes hundreds of doujinshi and thousands of images depicting the game's characters in fan-created "adult" content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively combat the proliferation of unauthorized mature material featuring their iconic, often scantily-clad, heroines. This highlights the inherent tension between fan creativity and the publisher's need to control the franchise's image.
