How To Obtain The Dark God’s Violin

The Dark God's Violin is the first and only mandatory Dark Instrument, crucial for progressing the main story. It's obtained during Chapter 2, after a crew member, Jason, leads you to an old friend. This encounter introduces the Devil Flag pirates, who killed Jason's friend and stole the Pharaoh Stone. You'll meet Misaki, the friend's daughter, who joins your crew seeking revenge, triggering a side story. Following this questline, which takes you to islands east of Madlantis, you'll face a challenging Devil Flag fleet. Focus your attacks on the boss ship to board and defeat them, earning the Dark God's Violin. The game then lets you test it in a 100-enemy brawl. Defeating the Devil Flags on the island initiates a cutscene introducing the four Devil Flag captains: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus, who challenge you to further battles. While defeating them isn't essential for the main story, it is for collecting all Dark Instruments.

How To Obtain The Dark God’s Ocarina

After the initial 100-enemy brawl and obtaining the Violin, you'll encounter Devil Flag markers on your map. Defeating these ships earns you Devil Flags. 70 flags unlock Atali Island. Prepare a strong landing party; this island presents multiple waves of enemies. Defeat them to reach a treasure chest containing the Dark God's Ocarina, but first, you must defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza.

How To Obtain The Dark God’s Guitar

After defeating Captain Yakuza, cutscenes and new objectives lead you to a supposed location of the Pharaoh Stone, only to discover it's a ruse leading to another 100-enemy battle. You'll then learn that Zeus is headed to Flame Island. This stage requires at least a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. Sail to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse, triggering a cutscene and access to four treasure islands (Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat). These islands prohibit using health items, with rest points instead. Upgrade your crew for success. After conquering the islands, a fleet battle ensues, focusing on the boss ship. Board and defeat the first mate to land on Flame Island. Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima are recommended crew members. Several battles precede a fight with Captain Ronin, where you can use your acquired Dark Instruments. Victory unlocks the Dark God of the Earth's Guitar.

How To Obtain the Dark God’s Saxophone

The final Dark Instrument requires Pirate Rank Four and 220 Devil Flags. Sailing to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse triggers a cutscene and a battle with the Devil Flag fleet blocking Frost Island. Four more islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) offer more Devil Flags and battles. Defeat Captain Shinobi's First Fleet before landing. The island features battles leading to a cave and a recovery area before the final fight with Captain Shinobi. After his defeat, a cutscene with Zeus ensues, followed by a final challenging two-stage battle against Zeus to rescue Misaki. This final battle is optional if you only aim for the Dark Instruments.
