Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia
Paradox Interactive has unveiled its ambitious plans for Crusader Kings III in 2025, encompassing Chapter IV: a significant expansion into Asia, complete with new mechanics and vast territories to explore.
The journey begins with the recently released Crowns of the World cosmetic DLC. This stylish pack provides six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players enhanced customization options for their rulers.
Next up, on April 28th, is the major DLC Khans of the Steppe. Take the reins as the Great Khan, leading your nomadic horde across the steppes, conquering lands, and establishing your dominance over neighboring territories.
Following the Khans of the Steppe, Coronations will introduce a profound ceremonial mechanic. Legitimize your reign through grand coronation events, complete with extravagant festivities, solemn vows, and crucial decisions shaping your kingdom's future. New advisor and vassal events will also enrich political gameplay. This DLC, scheduled for release in Q3 (July-September), adds considerable depth to royal succession.
The chapter culminates with All Under Heaven, a massive expansion arriving later in 2025. This expansion unveils the entire East Asian map, meticulously detailing China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have access to vast new territories ripe for exploration and conquest.
Between DLC releases, Paradox will continue to refine the game through patches, improving game systems and AI behavior. The developers actively encourage player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26th.
