Artian weapons are a late-game addition to Monster Hunter Wilds, offering unparalleled customization. This guide details everything you need to know to craft these powerful weapons.

First, you must unlock the Artian weapon crafting feature. This requires completing the main story, reaching High Rank, and defeating your first Tempered monster (you'll know it when you see it—the NPCs will give it away!). After this victory, Gemma will initiate a tutorial, explaining the crafting process.

Artian weapon crafting involves three components per weapon type. Each component boasts rarity, element, and an Artian bonus.

• Rarity: Components must share the same rarity to be combined.
• Element: The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among your components (e.g., two water, one lightning = water weapon). Three different elements result in no elemental infusion.
• Artian Bonus: Choose between an attack boost or affinity boost (critical hit chance).

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. These monsters are marked with a blue outline on the map. Defeating or capturing them yields Artian parts, found among post-mission rewards. Material rarity increases with your hunter rank.
