Main quests can be stressful, especially when you're sneaking around unfamiliar areas under a time limit. Here's a detailed walkthrough for completing "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - For Whom the Bell Tolls Walkthrough

The quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" begins immediately after "Wedding Crashers." You find yourself imprisoned in Trosky, with Hans facing execution once the bell tolls 12 times. Fortunately, Henry is assigned to work as a laborer around the castle, providing a chance to save Hans.

Hauling Sacks

Your first task is to haul sacks to a shed. This is a mandatory objective. Grab a sack from the wagon and carry it to the shed next to the fenced area. Drop the sack inside and repeat until the task is complete.

Help the Blacksmith

Next, you're tasked with assisting the blacksmith, who reluctantly asks you to craft a horseshoe. Head to the forge area through the archway opposite the blacksmith. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. Once done, return it to the blacksmith, who will approve it. Then, follow the path you used for hauling sacks to the stables and deliver the horseshoe.

Help Fanka the Cook

After delivering the horseshoe, it's time to help Hans. Return to the forge and pick up the lockpick from the red pot on the shelves. Speak with Fanka, the cook standing nearby, who works in the noble's kitchen. Offering to help her grants you access to the kitchen. Follow Fanka there; you don't need to lockpick it, but doing so boosts your reputation and allows you to get food whenever needed.

Speak with the Chamberlain

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain in distress. Engage with him and try to persuade him to let you brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon's workshop; otherwise, you'll need to sneak in.

Make Fever Tonicum

If you couldn't convince the chamberlain, grab some food from the kitchen to distract the guard and sneak into the workshop. If you did, head directly to the workshop via the stairs across from the forge. Enter the non-noble kitchen and proceed upstairs to the surgeon's workshop. Craft the Fever Tonicum and, if you convinced the chamberlain, a Digestive Potion using the ingredients in the chest.

Cure Thomas

If you're helping the chamberlain, return to him with the Digestive Potion to gain access to Thomas' room. If sneaking, take the route through the noble's kitchen and up the stairs, avoiding guards. Use a pebble to distract the guard at the bottom of the staircase leading to Thomas' room, then sneak up. Once inside, give the Fever Tonicum to Adele, Thomas' sister, triggering the quest's concluding cutscene.

That's how to complete "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Helping Thomas before the 12 bells toll increases your reputation, though the outcome remains the same otherwise.
