Firaxis Games Unveils Civ 7 Post-Launch Roadmap
Firaxis Games has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Civilization VII (Civ 7), detailing upcoming content including paid DLC and free updates. The game launched on February 11th.
Paid DLC: Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar
The first wave of paid DLC will introduce Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as playable leaders.
March Updates: Free Content and More
Firaxis has outlined a series of updates planned for March, categorized into free updates, paid content collections, and events/challenges. The March updates will include:
Further down the line, Firaxis plans to add two more leaders, four new civilizations, and four world wonders, along with new events and challenges. No release date has been given for this content. Additional content is also planned for October 2025 and beyond.
Future Updates (No Release Dates):
Firaxis also acknowledged several features not included in the initial launch, with developers currently assigned to their implementation. These include:
- Multiplayer teams
- Expanding multiplayer to 8 players
- Customizable starting and ending ages
- A wider variety of map types
- Hotseat multiplayer
