Capcom Targets Cheaters in Monster Hunter Wilds Ahead of First Update
Monster Hunter Wilds launches its initial Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that promote competition for swift completion times. To maintain fairness, Capcom has announced it will take action against players engaging in fraudulent activities.
In a statement on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure an enjoyable and fair experience for all players, we will address accounts involved in fraudulent ranking activities, such as using cheats or external tools. Violating accounts may face suspension or restrictions, including ineligibility for quest rewards."
Beyond individual cheating, Capcom cautioned that players joining multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and rewards revoked for the entire group.
"Exercise caution to avoid multiplayer sessions with those engaging in prohibited activities or those you suspect of such," Capcom advised. The company urged players to report any fraudulent behavior encountered during quests.
These competitive quests offer appealing rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some are awarded to all participants, while others depend on completion time or hunter rankings. This explains Capcom’s heightened efforts to curb cheating and suspicious behavior that could impact rewards and completion times.

The time-based competitive quests launch with Title Update 1 and will be managed through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. Players must complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub, so prioritize this when Title Update 1 releases tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
