The story begins in Paris, where American tourist George witnesses a café bombing triggered by a suspicious clown. This sets off a transcontinental mystery unveiling Templar-linked conspiracies, with eventually French journalist Nico Collard joining the adventure.

Faithful to its roots, the game retains its signature point-and-click mechanics—exploring vibrant locations, interacting with quirky NPCs, collecting obscure items, and solving often creative (occasionally perplexing) puzzles. Certain solutions may only reveal themselves after progressing elsewhere, rewarding thorough exploration.
