Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

Exciting news for Fortnite enthusiasts: the much-anticipated Godzilla skin is set to make its debut on January 17. However, recent leaks have spilled the beans on the full scope of the collaboration between Fortnite and the Monsterverse. Epic Games has already rolled out an update that will unlock this thrilling content on the scheduled date, and eager dataminers have uncovered all the juicy details.

In addition to the standard Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, players will have the opportunity to acquire skins of Mechagodzilla and Kong, available as a set in the Fortnite store. This set will also feature unique jet packs and pickaxes tailored specifically for these iconic skins, enhancing your in-game style and experience.

On January 17, Fortnite will also introduce a new boss event, bringing the action to a whole new level. One fortunate player on the map will transform into an oversized Godzilla, wielding fearsome abilities such as atomic breath. Teaming up will be crucial as players work together to take down this colossal beast. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla throughout the battle will be rewarded with a special medallion, granting a unique ability that could turn the tide of future matches.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks

Beyond the Monsterverse excitement, Fortnite continues to be a hub for a diverse array of performers and artists. Rumors are swirling that the beloved Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku, might soon grace the game. Social media exchanges have sparked these rumors, with the Hatsune Miku account mentioning a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account playfully responded that they had it. Alongside the basic Vocaloid skin, players can look forward to a stylized pickaxe, a variant of the "Miku the Catgirl" skin, and possibly even a virtual Hatsune Miku concert, promising an immersive musical experience.
