Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author : Savannah Update : May 07,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is slated for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a recent tweet from the official Bethesda account, the excitement was palpable, though the company cleverly kept the details under wraps. The tweet featured a prominent "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little doubt about what's coming.

The journey to this point has been filled with speculation. Initial whispers of an Oblivion remaster surfaced in 2020, thanks to a leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at a fiscal year 2022 release. Although that window passed without an announcement, the rumors persisted. Earlier this year, a new leak suggested that Bethesda, in collaboration with Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. The speculation reached a fever pitch last week when leaks from Virtuos' website showcased images of the remake in progress.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be a thrilling confirmation and more detailed insights into this eagerly awaited remaster.
