Despite initial reports that Bam Margera would not be included in the roster for the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, it has now been confirmed that the former professional skateboarder and Jackass star will indeed be featured in the final version of the game. This surprising news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

Bagley revealed that the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, insisting on Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it was not possible, Hawk's determination led to Margera's addition to the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera, known for his roles in the Jackass film and TV series, has faced significant personal challenges, including well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, multiple rehab stints, and being fired from Jackass Forever. Additionally, Margera was the subject of a restraining order granted to Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.

Recent speculation about Margera's return to the game was fueled by a video of him skateboarding with Tony Hawk, which they shared publicly. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has made a comeback after nearly being canceled following Activision's merger of previous series developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
