Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. The test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this stress test. Registration is currently open.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly focusing on cross-play functionality, stating that implementing it in a game as large as Baldur's Gate 3 has been challenging and requires player assistance. Players are encouraged to register and invite friends for a cross-play campaign, or find groups through the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian commits to ongoing support for modders. Significant updates are planned, enhancing modding tools to empower players in creating their own narratives. Since the release of official modding tools in September, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
