For those looking to automate livestock care, the Animal Friends mod by annanomoly on Nexus Mods is highly recommended. This mod not only automates petting but also handles feeding. To ensure compatibility, you’ll also need the Mods of Mistria Installer, which is essential for activating the mod.

Here’s how to install the mod:

1. Create a new folder named Mods in your Fields of Mistria directory.
2. Download the AnimalFriends.zip file and place it inside the Mods folder.
3. Extract the contents of the zip file.
4. Delete the original zip file or move it elsewhere.
5. Launch the Mods of Mistria Installer to finalize the installation.

The Animal Friends mod offers several features, including an auto-petter, auto-feeder, friendship multiplier, and a setting to prevent friendship loss. The friendship multiplier boosts the number of hearts your animals gain, while preventing friendship loss ensures those hearts stick around.

To configure these settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the unzipped mod folder. This plain text file allows you to toggle features by changing "false" to "true". For example, enabling the auto-petter involves modifying the line to [“auto-pet”: true].

The friendship multiplier requires a numeric value between 1 and 100. Setting it to 100 skips the bonding process entirely, while reducing it to 1 disables the feature.
