Assetto Corsa EVO Launches Today, Challenging Gran Turismo and Forza
For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios will launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam early access, promising an unparalleled driving experience. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in early access, the game boasts impressive physics, controls, and realistic car behavior right from the start.
A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is the free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their own pace. A major update planned for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads around the famous Nürburgring track. This update will include a fully laser-scanned open world spanning up to 1600 square kilometers, with plans for gradual expansion.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to set a new standard in car simulation, challenging industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. The game promises photorealistic graphics and advanced physics to deliver an immersive experience. At its debut, Assetto Corsa EVO will feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with future free updates set to expand this selection further. Each circuit will replicate real-world conditions, including rolling tires or wet pavement, and animated spectators to enhance the realism.
The developers have also refined the dynamics of the automobiles, enhancing suspension damping and shock absorption for a more authentic feel. The Driving Academy mode, available in Early Access, will challenge players to complete the aforementioned tracks within specific time limits. This single-player activity is designed to help players earn a license, granting access to the game's top-tier vehicles.
