Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic Assassin's Creed protagonist, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's Character Awards! This online competition, celebrating Ubisoft Japan's three decades of game development, saw fans voting for their top three favorite characters from across the company's extensive catalog. The voting period ran from November 1st, 2024.

The results, unveiled on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter), reveal Ezio as the undisputed champion. To mark this achievement, a special webpage featuring Ezio in a unique artistic style has been launched. Furthermore, four free digital wallpapers (for PC and smartphones) showcasing Ezio are available for download. A lucky 30 fans will receive an exclusive Ezio acrylic stand set, while 10 others will win a massive 180cm Ezio body pillow!

Beyond Ezio's triumph, the top ten characters were also revealed, highlighting a diverse range of beloved Ubisoft characters. Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs secured second place, followed by Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in third.

In a related poll for most popular game franchise, Assassin's Creed also claimed the top spot, surpassing Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division and Far Cry rounded out the top five franchises.
