Once you've completed the main quest of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the world of Feudal Japan remains yours to explore. The game's expansive open world is filled with side content that remains accessible post-main quest, allowing you to delve deeper into the rich environment and uncover all the secrets it holds.

Moreover, the game will continue to evolve with new weekly challenges added via the Animus post-launch, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to tackle.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

After the credits roll, your journey might not be over just yet. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, and then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will grant you the complete ending and associated achievements in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Additionally, you can earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke near the game's end. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s play style, and their designs are a nod to the nostalgic fans of Assassin’s Creed.

Even after the credits, you can continue to level up until you reach the game’s maximum level cap, offering ongoing progression and engagement.

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the adventure doesn't end there. The game will receive new content through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is slated for release in 2025, offering over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
