ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans
ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an expansive content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This ambitious plan details a significant evolution for the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, encompassing technical upgrades, new maps, creatures, and more.
Initially released in early access in November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended continues to receive consistent updates. A key milestone will be the transition to Unreal Engine 5.5, slated for March 2025. This upgrade promises substantial performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation technology, previously disabled due to engine compatibility issues. The UE5 update also facilitates a restructuring of the game's data, enabling individual DLC map downloads and reducing overall install size.
The roadmap outlines a steady stream of content releases:
2025:
- March: Unreal Engine 5.5 update.
- April: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, Bison (free creature), and a new Fantastic Tame.
- June: A new premium map (details to be announced).
- August: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and another Fantastic Tame.
2026:
- April: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
- August: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
- December: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
- Throughout the year: Three additional Fantastic Tames.
Beyond the scheduled releases, Studio Wildcard hints at potential unannounced additions. The roadmap serves as a high-level overview, suggesting further surprises may be in store for players over the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a refined and expanded ARK: Survival Ascended experience, blending technical improvements with engaging new content.
