Alien Ant Farm 'Bummed' Over Exclusion from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Soundtrack

Author : Simon Update : Jun 30,2025

American rock band Alien Ant Farm has expressed disappointment at not being included in the upcoming *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4* remake, after their hit track "Wish" originally appeared in the fourth installment of the iconic skateboarding series.

While a number of classic tracks have been brought back for the remake’s soundtrack—such as Motörhead’s *Ace of Spades* and others—many fan-favorite songs have been cut in favor of newer additions. Alien Ant Farm recently addressed this change following a sad face emoji posted on their social media account in response to the official soundtrack reveal.

"Is it a bummer that we weren't invited or that they didn't include us? Absolutely," said guitarist Terry Corso during an interview with BBC News (via VGC). "We understand that they're trying to bring some new stuff onto these releases, and if you've gotta make cuts, you've gotta make cuts. I don't know why it had to be us—I feel like our song was really good on there and it did really well."

Lead vocalist Dryden Mitchell added further perspective, noting, "I kind of get it, that skating feels a little more punk [and] we're not a punk band, but I think that's what makes a cool soundtrack—being a collection of different styles and sounds."

The soundtrack announcement has sparked mixed reactions from fans. While many celebrated the return of beloved tracks by CKY and Iron Maiden, others lamented the absence of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead.

Tony Hawk Takes Responsibility for Soundtrack Choices

In response to the community discussion, Tony Hawk himself took to Instagram to clarify the creative direction behind the remake’s music selection. He confirmed that he personally oversaw the soundtrack and made a conscious effort to blend nostalgia with discovery.

"It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in THPS3+4 OST," Hawk explained. "I'm hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride."

New Maps, New Faces

In addition to the updated soundtrack, the game retains much of its classic identity, featuring familiar skate parks and skaters. However, the remake also introduces fresh content, including new maps and characters—one of which is none other than Michelangelo from *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles*, whose inclusion has raised a few eyebrows among fans.
