Alexa Plus Now Available on Select Echo Show Devices

The latest addition to the Alexa family, Alexa+, has entered the scene in early access. This upgraded version of the standard Alexa voice assistant harnesses the power of generative AI to enhance user interaction. The standout feature of Alexa+ is its ability to engage in more natural and flowing conversations. Currently, Alexa+ is available in Early Access exclusively on specific Echo Show devices, including the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21. Thanks to its conversational approach, Alexa+ allows you to ask questions freely as they come to mind. It can assist with a wide array of tasks, from managing your to-do list and retrieving specific details from your calendar to booking a table at a restaurant and beyond. According to Amazon's Alexa+ Early Access page, "new features are being added regularly," which suggests that more enhancements and capabilities will be unveiled post the Early Access period.

However, not all devices are compatible with Alexa+. Amazon has specified that older generation Echo devices, including the Echo Dot 1st Gen, Echo 1st Gen, Echo Plus 1st Gen, Amazon Tap, Echo Show 1st Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, and Echo Spot 1st Gen, will continue to operate with the original Alexa.
