This tier list ranks AFK Journey characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP. Remember, most characters are viable, but some excel in high-level endgame content.

AFK Journey Tier List

Many AFK Journey heroes are suitable for most content. However, this tier list highlights those best suited for challenging endgame content.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a recent addition, is a top-tier Wilder character, excelling in damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and boosts Wilder team performance across various game modes.

Thoran remains a top F2P tank, especially before acquiring Phraesto. Reinier is a priority support, crucial for both PvE and PvP (Dream Realm and Arena).

Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes. Odie is vital for Dream Realm and all PvE.

Eironn, paired with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team.

Tasi (added November 2024) is a versatile Wilder crowd control character, excelling in most modes except potentially Dream Realm (though this might change).

Harak (Hypogean/Celestial) is a powerful Warrior whose strength increases with each enemy kill. He's difficult for F2P players to obtain.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize the Haste stat, crucial for attack frequency and speed. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Lyca's PvP performance can be inconsistent.

Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.

Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.

Alsa (added May 2024) is a strong DPS mage, a viable alternative to Carolina in PvP, particularly with Eironn.

Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank but lacks damage output.

Ludovic (added August 2024) is a strong Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and excelling in PvP.

Cecia, while a good Marksman, has decreased in value due to newer characters and meta shifts.

Sonja (added December 2024) significantly enhances the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility across all game modes.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but generally lack the power of S or A-Tier heroes. Prioritize replacing them with stronger options.

Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS choices. Granny Dahnie is a decent early-game tank with debuffs and heals.

Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less effective in other modes.

Florabelle (added April 2024) is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia but isn't a must-have.

Soren (added May 2024) is decent in PvP but lacks effectiveness in other modes.

Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has decreased.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are generally outclassed quickly. Focus on obtaining higher-tier replacements.

Parisa, while offering early-game AoE crowd control, should be replaced as soon as possible.
