May 2025 Xbox Game Pass: 8 Games to Leave
Microsoft has announced the list of games that will be removed from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. In total, eight titles are scheduled to depart, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.
Xbox Game Pass is an online gaming service for Xbox and PC platforms. Subscribers can stream games directly on smart devices and consoles, play new releases on day one (depending on their subscription level), and explore a library of hundreds of high-quality games with friends across console, PC, or cloud. The eight games listed below are being removed from the cloud catalog.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in May:
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
Chants of Sennaar
Dune: Spice Wars
Hauntii
Jurassic World Evolution 2
Little Kitty, Big City
Planet of Lana
The Big Con
Microsoft is anticipated to reveal Wave 2 of the May 2025 Game Pass roster shortly after these titles leave the service.
Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received a new feature: the option to stream select games directly to their consoles without needing to download them.
This update was shared in an Xbox Wire post, where Xbox confirmed that Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream titles from the Game Pass library, as well as select owned games, on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles via cloud streaming. While this was already supported on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, it marks the first time the functionality has been enabled on consoles.
If today’s announcement that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed until May 2026 has you eager to revisit GTA 5, remember that GTA 5 Enhanced is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. The PC release is particularly notable, as it marks the game’s debut on the PC Game Pass platform.
