Samsung revealed a total of six Mini-LED TV models for 2025, and three of these models are available for purchase starting today. The Neo QLED QN990F and QN900F are true 8K TVs that come with incremental improvements such as new anti-glare technology, the One Connect wireless transmitter box, and access to Samsung's Art Store, previously exclusive to the Frame TVs. The Neo QLED QN90F, QN85F, QN80F, and QN70F are the new 4K Mini-LED models. The top-tier model, the QN90F, features a 165Hz refresh rate, a Gen 3 processor, and an anti-glare coating similar to the S95F. The mid-range QN85F marks Samsung's entry into the 100" TV market.

The new OLED TVs - the S95F, S90F, and S85F - bring several incremental upgrades over their predecessors. The flagship S95F boasts a new NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor, a 165Hz refresh rate, an improved anti-glare coating, and an upgraded QD OLED panel promising up to 2,000 nits of brightness. The S90F also features the Gen 3 processor, a 144Hz refresh rate with VRR, and a QD OLED panel with up to 1,300 nits of brightness for TV models 55" and above. The S85F, positioned as the "budget" option, comes with a Gen 2 processor and is the only model currently available.

The Frame Pro will make its debut this year alongside the standard Frame TV. The Frame Pro will feature the superior Neo QLED Mini-LED panel for richer and brighter colors, a 144Hz refresh rate, new anti-glare technology, and wireless connectivity via the "One Connect" box. The standard The Frame TV will also be available at a lower cost.

Samsung QN90D (2024) Review by Jaron Schneider

Samsung’s 2024 mini LED QN90D is a refined television with an enhanced interface and a suite of new features that increase its value. Though it's on the pricier side, its brightness, color quality, multiple HDMI 2.1 ports, built-in gaming features, and more justify the cost.

AI and Anti-Glare Tech Are the Highlights for Samsung

Like many in the industry, Samsung is heavily investing in AI. Their new "Vision AI" technology can recognize content, including actors and settings, and provide real-time personalized commentary. Additionally, more TV models will feature AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro to optimize image quality dynamically. Other AI enhancements include Active Voice Amplifier Pro for voice isolation and enhancement, AI Optimization, and AI Energy Mode.

Samsung is also transitioning many of their TV panels to a matte-like anti-glare coating, similar to the S95D model from 2024. This coating minimizes reflections without desaturating colors, a common issue with other brands' anti-glare technologies.
