Batman, Spider-Man Lead 2025 Eisner Nominations


The nominees for the prestigious 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have been announced, celebrating comic book excellence comparable to the Oscars. This year's competition highlights standout releases from across the graphic storytelling landscape.
Publisher Standouts
Fantagraphics leads with 24 nominations (plus one shared), while DC Comics follows with 10 nominations (plus nine shared). Wonder Woman writer Tom King emerges as the most nominated creator with four nods, closely trailed by several three-time nominees.
Notable Nominations
Former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito earns recognition, with The Pedestrian (co-created with Sean Von Gorman) competing for Best New Series against titles like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.
The 2025 Eisner Award winners will be announced during a ceremony at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25 at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel.
