Lexica: The Word Game

Lexica is a fast-paced word game where players race against the clock to uncover as many words as possible hidden within a grid of randomly arranged letters. The game offers a challenging and engaging experience for word enthusiasts of all levels.

What's New in Version 3.12.0 (February 18, 2024)

This update focuses on significant enhancements to the French dictionary, thanks to valuable contributions from @mccoys:

• Improved Board Generation: Letter probabilities for board creation are now dynamically calculated based on actual letter frequency within the French dictionary, resulting in more realistic and challenging gameplay.
• Letter Removal: The letters "à," "ö," "ü," and "ë" have been removed. Their infrequent use (typically limited to loanwords and less than 50 occurrences each) improved game balance.
• "Q" Rule: The letter "Q" will now always be followed by "u," reflecting standard French orthography.
