Die langjährige Rivalität zwischen Marvel und DC tritt einen Rücksitz auf, während sich die beiden Comic -Giganten im Jahr 2003 für ihren ersten Crossover seit dem gefeierten JLA/Avengers -Unternehmen zusammenschließen.

Wie von Entertainment Weekly angekündigt, werden Marvel und DC zwei aufregende One-Shot-Specials mit dem legendären Dark Knight und dem respektlosen Merc mit Mund veröffentlichen. Marvel wird Deadpool/Batman #1 veröffentlichen, das vom talentierten Duo des Schriftstellers Zeb Wells hergestellt wird, der für seine Arbeit über den erstaunlichen Spider-Man bekannt ist, und der Künstler Greg Capullo, der für seine Beiträge zu Batman bekannt ist.
