Game Rules

This popular Indian card game is played by four people with a standard 52-card deck. The game

consists of 5 rounds, with Spades as the permanent trump suit. The dealer gives 13 cards to

each player. At the start, players bid on how many tricks they expect to win. The Callbreak multiplayer game challenges you to win the most tricks while also

breaking your opponents' bids—this is the essence of "call breaking."

How to play?

Deal & Bidding

Players are dealt 13 cards each, starting to the dealer's left. The initial dealer in Callbreak

Star is chosen randomly; thereafter, the deal rotates clockwise from the first dealer.

Scoring

In Callbreak, each player bids a number of tricks (from 1 to 13), starting to the dealer's left.

Players must achieve their bid to earn a positive score.

Play

A player earns points equal to their bid for each trick won up to that number. Any extra tricks

award 0.1 points each. If a player fails to win as many tricks as they bid, they lose points equal to their bid.

A full game includes five rounds or deals. After the fifth round, the player with the highest

total score is declared the winner.
