WoW Unveils Second Timewalking Event Lineup
World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
Get ready for a Timewalking marathon! World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering seven consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns until February 24th. This extended event brings a wealth of rewards, including a mountain of Timewarped Badges, powerful experience boosts, and exciting new loot.
The original Turbulent Timeways event, launched in September 2023, featured five weeks of Timewalking. This time, the event is even bigger! Players can earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons.
This epic Timewalking journey begins January 7th with Mists of Pandaria and concludes February 18th with Cataclysm, cycling through various expansions each week. All the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids return, alongside the coveted Mastery of Timeways buff.
World of Warcraft Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Achieve Mastery of Timeways for at least five of these seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and its prize: the charming Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors have permanent additions to their inventories, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, the Sandy Shalewing pet (previously only available during the initial Turbulent Timeways event) makes a comeback! And that's not all – the Cache of Nerubian Treasures from the weekly dungeon quest now awards Heroic gear during the event.
With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking already behind us, players are in for a whopping 18 weeks of continuous Timewalking action!
The Turbulent Timeways event's end date offers a compelling hint at future World of Warcraft plans. The final Timewalking campaign runs until February 24th. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week content release cycle and the holiday season, this strongly suggests that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," will likely launch on February 25th, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Combine this with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th – February 17th) and the imminent major content update for The War Within, and World of Warcraft is set to explode into 2025 with a massive content push!
