Stardew Valley: How To Get & Use The Crystalarium
Stardew Valley: A Comprehensive Guide to Crystalariums
Stardew Valley offers much more than farming; players strive for profit, and gemstones are valuable beyond their beauty, serving crafting and gifting purposes. While mining for rare gemstones is time-consuming, the Crystalarium provides a solution. This remarkable device replicates gemstones and minerals, significantly boosting profits. This guide details its use and acquisition, updated for the latest game version (1.6).
Obtaining a Crystalarium
To craft a Crystalarium, players need level 9 Mining skill and the following materials:
- 99 Stone: Easily obtained by breaking rocks.
- 5 Gold Bars: Smelt Gold Ore (found at mine levels 80 and below) using Coal in a Furnace.
- 2 Iridium Bars: Mine Iridium in Skull Cavern or obtain it daily from the Statue of Perfection. Smelt Iridium Ore into bars using a Furnace.
- 1 Battery Pack: Obtained by placing a Lightning Rod outside during a thunderstorm.
Alternative Acquisition Methods:
- Community Center Bundle: Complete the 25,000g bundle in the Vault.
- Museum Donation: Donate 50 minerals (gemstones or geodes) to the Museum.
Using the Crystalarium
Place the Crystalarium anywhere – indoors or outdoors. The Quarry is a popular location for mass production. It replicates any mineral or gemstone (except Prismatic Shards).
Production Times and Profitability:
- Quartz: Fastest production time, but low sale value.
- Diamond: Longest production time (5 days), but highest profit margin.
Moving and Changing Gems:
To move a Crystalarium, hit it with an axe or pickaxe. To change the gem being replicated, simply place a new gemstone into the active Crystalarium; the original gem will be ejected.
By strategically using Crystalariums, players can significantly increase their income and enhance their relationships with Pelican Town's residents.
