Marvel Rivals Season 1 introduces exciting new content, including characters, maps, and modes, plus challenges unlocking free rewards like a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. Not all objects work; you need to identify specific targets.

Identifying Destructible Objects

Use Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad button) to highlight destructible objects. Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects are available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, ready for destruction.

While battling opponents, target these buildings. You might not always see the objects reappear immediately due to the fast-paced action, but hitting them several times should complete the challenge. If you don't trigger Recursive Destruction three times, simply replay the match. After completing this, you can move on to other challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
