Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content
Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February! This expanded beta test offers returning players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a YouTube video.
New Monster, New Content
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, players can hunt the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from previous games.
Character data from the first beta carries over, and can be transferred to the full game. However, progress won't be saved. Participating players receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne weapon charm, and a bonus item pack to aid early gameplay.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating player demand for another chance to play fueled the decision. While recent community updates detailed ongoing improvements, these changes aren't included in this beta, as they're still under development.
Prepare for the Monster Hunter Wilds launch on February 28th, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Happy hunting!
